Got stuck when it says "Make sure you have the following settings active and set to your pen control"
Would have been nice to hear what these settings are called and how to activate/set them if we didn't already know. I don't know where they are in CS3.

zummerfish In reply to dragon-nexus [2012-06-26 14:32:13 +0000 UTC]

Your graphic pen controls for brush tool are just below the main menu. There's snapshot for this action, with pen controls highlighted in green, just after "Make sure you have the following settings active and set to your pen control"

dragon-nexus In reply to zummerfish [2012-06-26 21:34:38 +0000 UTC]

Sounds a lot like these options aren't in CS3 then, because they're simply not there.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

zummerfish In reply to dragon-nexus [2012-06-26 22:29:44 +0000 UTC]

They should be around somewhere, but as stated the screencaps are from CS5. I haven't worked in CS3 for ages so I can't say for sure. You'd have do it manually then via Brush options (F5)
you need to set shape dynamics and transfer to pen pressure.

dragon-nexus In reply to zummerfish [2012-06-27 00:19:00 +0000 UTC]

I assume these options are what makes the pen example in the image look so cloudy (the wavey example line). If so, wlel I have no idea how to get it like that. Any option just looks straight to me, and my brush panel appears how yours does.

3 years of Photoshop learning and not a single shit about the options
or how to make effects was learned
my teacher a lazy whore

Ahaha I hear ya. Used to have the same issue myself. Best way to learn anything is probably error and trial

One of my friends had IT and the teacher said they should get PhotoShop because they are going to use it for the rest of the year. They never did. What a waste of 600MB and 60$. I'm glad I got GIMP.
