Description
main deviation: [link]I'm not sure if Photoshop's overlay works the same, since I mostly only use SAI. The first image is one of my drawings without most of the overlay lighting effects I usually add.
Experiment with that layer setting: "overlay".
One of the best uses I know for overlay is making a scene a night scene. Just overlay a solid blueishpurple over everything.
Experiment with overlay if you haven't already :D

I can see it, altough I try to avoid the most possible using filters/effects on my pictures (unless there's a good reason for it).
(I know myself. Now I'll start to make pictures with filters/effects. Is beyond my self control).
