Note: I do not claim this as my own idea. I saw it on a billboard somewhere. There wasn't any other text on it, so I don't know who made it.
That being said,
This is in reference to "God!", or the more common and too-highly-used (in my opinion) "Oh my God!"
I do admit, I do say "Oh my gosh", which isn't entirely all that better. I blame popular culture ingraining it into my head.
Another note: If you don't believe in God, don't get offended. It's still funny, right?

Spare me the special pleading. Anyone can understand faith, it isn't special. I get it - you feel you have magical connection with a magical being for which there is no evidence. Cool story.
Your 'faith' is a joke, but what's truly sad is your vain attempt to cover up your lack of evidence. You must be insecure in your religious beliefs, I imagine this must cause you much distress.
So, I reiterate, where is your evidence?
Please, try to grasp the difference between reality and imagination.

That's okay, I forgive you. You'll find that not being offended is a lot more fun than being offended. You can say "Oh god!" as well, and give as good as you get. If they can say it, so can you! Perhaps the key is to stop thinking "I am a christian, therefore I must get offended when somebody says "Oh god!"". Instead think "I am human, therefore I respect another human's right to say what they feel and be true to themselves". I could be offended every time I see a bible (eg. in a hotel) or every time I see someone reading one - that book says some very nasty things about myself and my friends. But I choose not to be. People can read what they want and I respect their right to do so. What is that saying? Something like "I disagree with what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it". You have a right to be offended too of course - if it makes you happy, why not? But generally being offended is a negative thing which is why I am saying you don't have to do it.

well its taking Gods name in vain.. we should try out best to not say these things and cursing as a whole. I used to curse (even though not so much cuz iam a quiet person) but I never do now because Jesus saved me.

Yeah, we can abuse this, Gould only be used for calling on God for help or guidance. Though if something moves us greatly, such as something beautiful, shocking, etc, I am not so sure if it is wrong? If I see a beautiful sunset & say it and then add a thankyou or an amen, then I don't see any wrong.
But it should not be said constantly in everyday speech.

I laugh at that all the time, I think its ironic how they think that's one of the lesser curses now.
