I hate how the creators of the show intended for these two together then changed their minds last minute. I think if this did happen, it might have gone in that direction in the end for Zutara fans. But I agree with one deviant, if it did Aang would have flipped out. I don't think the other characters would let it haunt them, but Aang probably would have gone into hysterics.

I agree. With the new series coming out I am an avid Kataanger, Simply because their family is awesome. but for the first series, Katara was obviously focused on the War and such but she was oblivious to Aangs' feelings and ignored his confessions to her over and over again.
Then as soon as she meets Zuko and slightly lets her guard down she is ready to try to heal him!?

Even with the new series I'm not a Kataanger, but that's just me though.
And not only that but when Aang kissed her before flying off, she looked away like she felt bad. No, she could have smiled and watched him fly off, instead, she couldn't even look at him until the war was over.

They never said that, in every interview they stated Aang/Katara was the intention from the very begining. It's in the Sozin's Comet book.
Heck, they even heckled Zutara fans in two parodies... (in a convention and during the episode EIP). It kinda says their position on ships, ya know?

Actually, they did. In some of the earlier dvds in the extra section. But I do believe it's been edited out since with future printings of the DVDs. They've hinted at it half way through the show, then they stopped and that's when you see the parodies. I'm not saying I disagree on you with that, but there are hints of it. Of a possible relationship. And the creators are being such trolls now denying it. 0: Makes me mad. You don't have to agree with me, but let us DO agree that Zutara is awesome and Kataan can go and suck it.

You are right they did toss the idea around and played with it they said in the extra's. But the did decide that it would be better to end it with Kataang.
