Yes, it can be quite exciting, but it takes a couple of lifetimes to find the way thru the enormous range of possible patterns.
Some time back I made a Truchet Quick Picks Script with a few basic options, style-wise. Since then I guess I've found hundreds of patterns but to put them into the script would make it too complicated, so I keep them on record in a folder as flame files with .jpg images for quick ref.
Which is how I found this particular beauty
