Description TRUCHET QUICK PICKS

A little script to help you find a few quick easy ways thru tyrantWave's truchet plugin [link] labyrinths.

Make sure you have the truchet xForm selected before running the script & choosing one of the 1-8 options.

This is my 1st ever Apo script, modelled on my mentor IDeviant's crackle params script. Thanks Ian.

It is very basic and gives a miniscule glimpse of the humongous possibilities this plugin gives.

I'm sure others will eventually be giving us bigger better scripts, but this is my contribution to say thanks in a very small way to all you clever Apo wizards.

If you use it please credit tyrant wave & me. Love to see your results.

Interesting. How do you install the script txt? This is all new to me not to mention confusing. Also how should the plugin be used--as a final transformation or xaos or 2nd or 3rd triangle?

I'd love to use Truchet more except for what it does to render times. Thanks for the resource!

Glad it's useful. I use it to get to each pattern as a starting point, then move the sliders in Variables to refine it. But. so easy to get lazy & I do tend to over-use it and there are so many other endless possibilities to explore, so keep experimenting & when you find a new one you like, record it's params so you can get to it easily again.

Btw if you find a good one & care to share, Note me & I'll add it to this lot - I'll be updating it from time to time ~

~ Yes, it is slow. All I can say is offload all plugins except the ones you need for the flame yr working on to free up processing time. But I never do, instead I get cooking & make muffins or some complicated new yummy thing in kitchen (or some other useful time-filler) going back & forth between adjustments. Slow & tedious, but multitasking is the answer here so you don't go nutz ~

If you add it to you Manage Scripts List & have it up near list top it works well for quick ref when you are hunting & experimenting for things to do with flames - just pop a Truchet=1 on a new xForm or on the FT, select it & run this to see if any of the choices work fr that image. Of course some more tweaks in Variables & etc to get it right

You have to go re-download & reload the plugin - tyrant wave has made a newer faster version (same url) - he has added this extended param which can be set at 0 for fast & 1 for the older slower way.
