Description
The final product - my convention-ready Pyro cosplay.Let's see here... the biggest changes were the back tank and the grenades. The back tank is two three-liter soda bottles glued together and a smaller aluminum bottle on the side. The grenades are spray-painted condiment bottles, the kind you see at restaurants that usually have mustard or ketchup in them.
That said, here it is! I'm really proud of this thing.
Visit my gallery if you're curious about the flamethrower and how it was made. We got pretty creative, believe me.

You'll get there! There's a reason I only posted the final ones - the first ones were just sad.

How'd you get the filter to attach to the drinking tube nozzle?

Oh man. I'm not sure I remember 100% how we did it. I'll do my best to get it right though.
If I remember correctly, we threaded the part of the mask that sticks out on that side. Then we used a silicon-based adhesive (I can't remember what it's called, sorry!) on the inside of the filter and screwed it on. Once that dried, we covered it in black electrical tape for added stability, but it stays on just fine otherwise.
I hope that helps.

Ok. Should I use a soft silicon or a hard silicon? I think I know how you did what you're talking about. I'm familiar with making silicon molds and what not, So I could possibly make a removable adapter, and a tutorial to go with it.

Awesomesauce! Thanks a lot dude.
Just out of curiosity, where did you buy your mask, and does the hydration tube actually function on yours?
I bought mine at a tobacco store when I was picking up some pipe tobacco, and I saw it. It came with a bong attachment that I doubt I'll ever use.
I went home and did some research on mine and it seems to be an israeli civilian issue mask. I do have several gas masks already so I had a spare hydration nozzle for my canteen lying around and decided to hook it up.
To no avail though did the hydration tube work. So I'm thinking mine might be defective or a replica. So just out of curiosity I'm asking you.

I bought mine at an army surplus store in Texas.
To be honest, I've never even tried the hydration tube. Now that we've attached the filter to the side (for Pyro-tastic authenticity), it'd be impossible to use it anyway.

Ok, looks like next time I run out of tobacco I'll have to ask the shop keeper.

Nice job! I like your patch. A lot less ghetto than mine was overall, haha!

Thanks! I actually bought the patches from a girl off of Etsy... because I'm lazy like that.
Yours didn't strike me as ghetto! I really liked it.

Thanks! Did you have to alter yours too? The filter part used to connect to the front.

Nah, I haven't done anything to mine--I wore it to a zombie walk recently, and removed the front filter altogether since it was tough to breathe. Looks like you attached yours to the hydration tube hole?
