Very cool. I always love seeing the whole 'brothers in arms' theme played out. God knows I've drawn my share of them. Great work, both of you!

Thanks! Of all the stuff I've thrown together for the books so far, this is my favorite. My mate did an awesome job inking the thing, which is good, because I have no ability in that regard.
My biggest concern was to show the weight of the figure being carried, and to get the positioning correct. This was probably the third try, the first couple hitting the shredder rather quickly.
Zym did the portraiture, not me!

You both did an amazing job. Kinda reminds me of the poster and video box cover for the movie "Uncommon Valor", if you've ever seen it.
And you got the ergonomics of the carrying down perfectly. It does look like the figurebeing carried has some serious weight to him.

I have that movie! Gene Hackman at his best with a much younger Patrick Swayze.
I should go watch that again.
Thanks for the encouragement. Two-character interactions are truly difficult.

GREAT flick! I always love seeing Blaster, trying to top himself in the number of explosive 'breaks' he tries to put together. Plus, Tex Cobb as Sailor:
"Why's he wear a grenade around his neck?"
"Sailor always says, if the world gets too shitty, he'll just pull the pin, and see what happens next."
And yeah, two-character pieces are always problematic for me, too. Unless I REALLY work at it, they always look like they're on different planes.

i admire anyone who can control pen and this drawing is very well done. Greg did a fantastic job showing the modular planes, the bodies really have a good sense of roundness to them. His technique with cross hatching is amazing, when i take off my glasses the image turns into a perfectly smooth shaded illustration. Awesome work

Ahem, not to be picky - I did the crosshatching - he just did the pencil outlines - and yes, his form is very good.
Thanks for the comment.
