Description
From worlds yet to be discovered, we walk. From histories and futures still unrecorded, we walk.
From a myriad of unforeseen events and consequences, we walk.
Yes, we walk, or crawl, or fly, or hop, for it is what we need to do.
We walk to find a new beginning, to leave behind the places we knew, and heed the call of the one who brings us forth.
We walk together, and apart,
We walk to you, for the sake of art.
Through the eye of the Walker, we journey across the page,
In a grand procession through the threshold, we find our way to the places we shall dwell within forever.
- This piece was entered by me into the 2012 Scholastics Art and Writing competition, and Received a Gold Medal and American Visions medal on the national level. it is currently in a touring exhibition... somewhere...
the piece itself is 38 inches tall by 50 inches long, and took 9 months to create (not nine months of non stop working though, I did plenty of other things as well), and has been referred to by some as my 'child'... understanding what the piece was meant to convey, I suppose that is not too far from the truth.

haha, indeed, you caught it!
hopefully, yes, the current image was taken rather hastily with my old teacher's camera, and I plan to show you all some closer detail shots of the piece.

A magnificent job, for sure.
Well thought out and well-composed, well-drawn.
And the concept that is the basis of this work is very interesting and well expressed by the rhymes that accompany it.
I really like it very much.
