I got Apophysis and how did you make your own Gradient and save them as something other than parameters.

I just save them as a jpg actually in a folder called gradients in the apophysis folder, then when I want to use one of mine, I browse to it, by clicking the small button beside the gradient chooser.

Also, I notice you mention adobe a lot. Is that important to have with Apophysis?

I use adobe to do minor post editing work, though some use paint or correll or other programs. The things you might need it for are minor, but can make a world of difference. Centering a fractal that rendered slightly off center, using levels to make the colours come out a little more if you had the gamma set too high or low on the render setting. I usually resize mine smaller too using adobe. I do this because experience has taught me that many viewers will not fullscreen larger images because they have slower connections and it takes so long to load, or because their screen resolution is considerabley smaller than mine. I try to keep the ones I post on here in the 800 X 600 range which is tiny to me, but fits these frames well. I occasionally use the invert function on a fractal too. That is the one that reverses the colour like a negative image. Some fractals just look better that way. You can also use it to frame it or to combine multiple fractals.

Most fractal artists let you know in the description if they did much post editing.

Most of the effects you see like cloning and symmetry are added with scripts though, rather than post editing. The scripts can be found in the apophysis program itself, and there are more on the website that you can download and even tutorials on writing your own, though I haven't tried that myself.

Here's a little interesting tidbit people don't often mention. The gradient is very important to your fractal and I enjoy making those as much as I do the fractals. Apophysis can take any bmp or jpg and make a gradient from it, from a photo to some pic you nabbed online. I make in abobe 200 X 200 squares and hand choose colours to create gradients when I don't find one that fits what I had in mind. I save the ones I like best in apphysis in the gradient folder to use anytime I like. It's an art in itself really.

LOL - so go make me some cool new fractals now!

Another thing; does this download include an explanation? I'm bad with computers.

There are several tutorials on the webpage, the download doesn't have one I don't think, but I'll be glad to help with any questions as well.

Your amazing and I feel I should give you something in return. But I'm poor and I don't have anything.

Amazing. Simply amazing. Solely out of curiosity, what did you use to make this?

Apophysis, a free fractal program that allows a lot more creativity and control than chaoscope or ultrafractal. You can download it free here [link]
