As some of you may know by reading my latest journal, our kitten (yes, kitten. She's only about 7 or 8 months old) was going to have some kittens.Since she is so little, we were afraid that the births of the kittens would be too hard on her, or the kittens themselves would be stillborn. But she had the kittens this afternoon and they're all seemingly healthy. Five of them, three orange kitts and two black-gray ones.
This is obviously one of the orange kittens. So sweet, mm?

Woh... I didn't even realize that a 7-8 month old kitten could give birth at such a young age. I'm glad the process was successful.
Although this is a photo to show off your beautiful kitten, I'll still crit it as if it were a professional photograph. 
Placement on the kitten was great, though I believe if you gave it more room over its head, it would look much better. Having a kitten's face crowd the entire picture makes it difficult to grasp everything. By giving it extra room above or beside its head lets the eyes focus on the kitten easier because it's not so overwhelming. When it comes to pictures, eyes tend to focus on the main subject (in this case, the kitten), then it examines the rest. By putting the picture so close, it's obvious you want the viewers to look at the kitten, but first thing I noticed when I saw this was its large nose. So extra space is good.
Your lighting and colors are really well done. Black is a good choice because the kitten is so light colored - it really adds volume to the photo.
Besides that, cute photo and great shot. Hope the kittens grow strong and healthy.

Hmm..the black area behind..funny, its actually a white wall. I never noticed how dark it went in the shadows.

Huh... must be because the wall is far away so there's more light touching the kitten then there is touching the wall. Still have to learn about that myself.

I thought a kitten couldn\'t have kittens until after a certain age. After doing a little research. Apparently, a kitten can be as young as 5 months old to produce kittens. XD That\'s wiiiiiild.
Almost taking their sex drives from rabbits. o.o
I bet they\'re cute. ^^ I remember a looong time ago we let our cat have kittens. And, she had two. :3 Sadly, we moved, and they ran away. D:

Just look at those big old ears and that soft, soft fur. What a downright adorable little thing it is. Haa, I am very relieved that the kittens were born without trouble; it would have been sad if they were stillborn. My congrats go out to the mother nonetheless. Talk about a go-getter!

I'm extremely relieved too. Today I was talking to my friend, saying that I was getting nervous about her giving birth. I knew it had to be soon and I was so worried about her because of her size. Its a wonderful thing that she made it through, as did the kittens.
I've got a cousin that is taking one, possibly two. Thats it so far but I have a feeling it won't be that hard to find them good homes. And I'm going to try and see if I can convince my mother to keep one of the orange ones. We've already got two cats but she's such a sucker for orange cats.

Reminds me of how not-cute kittens are.
I sort of miss always having cats and kittens. I was so little I don\'t think I really appreciated them all that much. Not that there is much to appreciate cats for. Yes, I\'ll stop.
The kitten is cute... Not as cute as when they are older. xD
