When Aaylla was just a young child, Fern would spend countless hours watching over her sisters, while their parents were busy running the family business. She loved all of her sisters very much, but Aaylla was by far her favorite. The two of them fit together like a Jawa and junk. Fern doted over Aaylla as if she were her own child, loving and hugging on her constantly. Aaylla of course loved the attention, and worshiped the ground her big sister walked on. Over the years, their friendship developed into an extremely close and unbreakable bond.

Now that they are both older, their relationship has taken on a bit of an odd twist. Due to her time as a slave, and upon learning about her parent’s death, Fern has developed some on-going struggles with anxiety and depression. She does an admirable job of being mindful with her feelings, but every now and then they get to her. Aaylla, now a Jedi Guardian, looks after her older sister, giving her a shoulder to lean on, and a safe harbor to hide in when her skies turn gray. She is very protective of her big sis, and often intervenes in Fern’s affairs to “guard” her from the ever-so constant grind of fame, or to keep others from minimizing her “Fern” time. Aaylla is also privy to all of Fern’s deepest and darkest secrets. Fern trusts Aaylla more than anyone else in her life. Best friends forever, Fern knows she can always count on Aaylla to be there for her, no matter what happens.
