Looks so much better small view.Gosh, I'm finally done with it. My longest piece ever but rightly so because I wanna do good on my part of the trade with ~oiiChyo
~oiiChyo , if you don't like something, please tell me and maybe I can fix it. I wasn't even sure if you like how it screams yaoi so if that bothers you, I can take it off of DA.
Sorry. Not suppose to be yaoi but I can see how it looks like that.
Topless character + brotherly figure + butterflies + flowers = yaoi. I can't very well take out any of the factors. Goodness no. The butterfly and the flower are crucial to the piece. Very. I tried to make up for it with excellent shading but even I don't know if that's enough. The background is suppose to be sucktastic because I tried to mimic Pokemon Leaf Green battle background...
I want to apologize for so many other things but I don't want you guys to realize all of my mistakes. Least I learned lots of new things but maybe I should've stuck to my tried and true method instead of experimenting on a fanart piece...

XD when i saw the small preview on my screen i instantly tought it was someone else's deviation (it would be weird for you to do something this yaoish *heh*) but don't worry, it's not gay at all. At least not for me. I think that two guys hugging each other could be only representing "friendship" or "fraternal love" shame on the perverted minds of everyone that turns gay everything.

What i like the most about it is the texture on the dragon guy's (Charcoal?) legs and wings: soft, but still visible. Also, the butterflie stands out of the pic thanks to the dark colors you placed on it.

Ok, ok, I'm good. Sooo~ it turned out really well actually. You managed to balance the composition (not sure how, but you did) and the shading and details went through really well. All in all, I think it turned out much better than you thought it would.
And I TOLD YA' Jenn would like it!

One thing I'd want to look out for next time is the area where the shoulder connects with the arm for the Charizard. From that angle I think it should be wider and the line closer to the body should curl toward the pectoral muscle somewhat. Whether the arms in general might look better slightly more muscley or not is just personal opinion. (This is from someone who only has knowledge of his own body physique so bear with me lol.)
Now with that aside. I love the shading. And I think you did a good job with the background. Very nostalgic xD;.

From what I can see, these are a Humanized Charizard and Bulbasaur(?), right? o3o This came out pretty great, dude =3 The poses look natural.
