Hurray for depressing subjects!
In this setting falling in love with someone of another race is quite dangerous, if it's also of the same gender it's very dangerous, and if said love interest is the daughter of a rich and powerful nobleman it's almost a death sentence.
The cat here still doesn't have a name, even if it doesn't matter much. She just wants to forget about the past experiences, and wine and drugs help, even if they cost money. I don't think I have to explain why she's on that bed with some coins near, or what her profession is...
Anyways! I'm very glad by how this drawing turned out, even if I felt bad all time while working on it. Still, I think that the fact many people are suffering like this (or worse even) is worth remembering.
As always, any suggestion, comment and critique is more than welcome!

I am betting this is the same female cat of your Hybrid concepts? It is rather interesting how you manage to show, with such depth, the downwards spiral that is her life 
The ammount of details is awesome, and the colours you've chosen are a clear indicator of her situation and the likely place she is living (a slum part of a city, am I right?).
I have a question, about those coins, are you using the classical gold, silver, copper coins from most fantasy settings? (since that was based on real-life?).

At least you are doing bad things to just 1 character and not spreading evilness to all of your characters! (like me! .. I'm kidding, but still ) . But I understand that you don't enjoy drawing those kinds of scenes, but we all know these kinds of situations are still happening even today, so we always need a reminder of sorts.
A brothel makes sense indeed, darn it is awful that in her situation she finds no way out other than using that little income to buy even more alcohol and drugs
I can imagine different countries or kingdoms will get their own values (like convertions) and I agree about the quality, like gold coins from some places would be more worthy than from another place

No one knows why she showed up at the brothel seeking work, but whatever the incident that had started the downward spiral that inarguably led her here was, it had left her with nothing but the scars on her body.
She's lucky most of this place's customers are as desperate as she is, because otherwise they'd have rejected her for those scars. With how poor the slums are, perfection isn't in high demand. A person either takes what they can get or gets nothing, and only a fool or a monk would refuse an opportunity to escape from the dark, unpleasant reality in which they exist.
It's exactly this sort of despair that the nobles, who have never faced adversity their whole life, think they have a right to criticize us for, as if the circumstances that led to such conditions were within our control.
We have hardly any control over what happens to us, only how we try to avoid it, and how we stand it when no other option remains.
The greatest scars are the ones people cast on their own society. There's no fighting the dichotomy of the desperate and the spoiled. I pray that someone will save the souls of our so-called "filthy desperados" so that one day a world may be created where none must live among rats and rely on wine, hookahs, and the desires of others to find meaning in their life.
This is a world where a person only has as much of a chance of survival as circumstances allow them to have, and the very nature of society and its fallible concepts of class have ensured that those who need help will receive only scorn and abandonment. This must change.

In this setting nobles have indeed no empathy for lower classes, in particular non-humans, even if their only fault is being born like that. Unfortunately things will not change so easily, and those who are different will always face discrimination.... Normal, "good" folk always need scapegoats.
But really, this comment if one of the best ever, it will remain featured forever!

Well my short story plan was for her to one day receive a unusual polite and friendly customer of the same species, who only ended up talking to her and pays her with a bag full of gold coins. Then later that day a other customer tryst to kill her with a knife, but the customer with the knife gets killed instead by the hand of the customer she talked to before. This customer then reveals to her that her heritage hides a much deeper secret that the humans suppressed for her species.
