Description added furniture and other details ... i pushed the skyline as far away as possible and turned on my water-window effect . by moving the skyline away i ruined the reflection in the mirror on the wall . to correct that i added a plate so now we can control exactly what we want to see in the reflection of outside . i'm thinking i should do something interesting and neat with it . what do you think ?

Thoughts of step 3:
You could raise the rapture backdrop a little, perhaps? Rest of the city feels like being situated lower than the viewpoint...
And in the matter of the lighting, the "indoors" lights could be a little weaker/softer (smokier ) to accentuate the illumination of the city in the windows. Furniture is awesome, suits well to the period setting, but the texture seems a tad too cheap for my taste (maybe a "hot red" canvas could suit better to the Rapture?)

i like the skyline lower . makes it feel like the room you're in is high . also moving the skyline image as far away as possible lets me do certain things with the lights and water effects , and i'm building things in the outside space . i've made a few things but nothing i like yet . those things are going to obstruct a lot of the skyline anyway . as it is now , the entire window range is just barely smaller than the skyline image . i can't move it up without bringing it closer . i'll move the skyline around again later if possible

i haven't added texture maps yet . everything will look flat until that happens . it adds a lot to the render time so that will happen last . the softness , the cracks , the "feel" of everything will be different at that point . there actually is a yellow light in the image and it drastically changes the feel of it . i'll turn it off for the next render so you can see the difference . i'm not sure how much more yellow i can add . i'll also turn off the other 3 colored lights next render . the materials on the couch have not been "tuned" yet . the pattern will be much smaller , etc . i'll mix a bit of burgundy in

... any ideas about what would be interesting to put in the reflection ?
