Description OK, so what is this? I don't know. It's an image from a dream I had last night. I can't remember a thing about the dream except this image. Couldn't get it out of my mind so I had to paint it. Acrylics on a gessoed junk mail postcard.

Ah, very happy! I think that what we see in an abstract is a reflection of what's in our soul and mind at the time. You see beauty. That's wonderful!

ok, here's my better detailed comment I believe the yellow image is a symbol of the person, specially nerves, so it looks like the spine and brain surrounded by that reddish fire, stress and anxieties, that try to shock the system, that's why the dark line that looks like the mouth is somehow sad. The artistic idea that comes to my mind is a mixture of pieces from Kandinsky, Nolde, Pollock...players of colours and feelings nice one!!!

surely you'll enjoy it, my sister wasn't great liker of art, then she comes to anything she can visit on a museum if I can help her...now she even try to go alone I'm pretty sure you'll do better, I can smell it

I do draw occasionally... I just dont' share my work
hehehe... I also don't have a scanner. I know it's kinda odd being a big computer geek and all... Maybe that'll end up on my bday list this year
Maybe I can get back into Corel Painter and paint up pictures again? Thanks

Scanners are cheap and small now. I remember the first one I got was bigger than a tower unit and you had to install a card inside the tower to get it to run. Then there were dip switches that had to be thrown. As I recall, there was a lot of swearing that went into installing that scanner. My latest one I installed in under 3 minutes, including the software. I think it was only about $50, too.

I don't really like to look at an abstract and then say it looks like a concrete, real-life thing. To me, that is not even an issue. I like this for exactly what it is... a really greatly-composed celebration of color and texture!

Thank you! I've always had dreams, but since going on the Effexor they have gotten quite elaborate and strange. It's a side effect of the drug. They seem so real that I've actually thought things had happened that were only in a dream. Very disorienting at times.
