Thanks
Most my friend who write are appalled I would use a book in such a way. Its an ongoing joke to "hide the good books" when I come over... :-p

Haha Tell them, from a writer, that it uses book and word in a very interesting way, so I actually feel like it shows kind of the connection between our deepest, most naked selves and books, and the influence words can have on our souls. Great, great work

SO GOOD! I love the excellent work on the figure, with the very dark shadows, it seems so expressive, combined with the rough textures of the paper and the movement it creates, along with the addition of the lace, just stunning.

This is great--I especially love all the texture and the face that you incorporated lace into the piece. It's great to see another artist using lace in their art.

Absolutely fabulous... and I found myself turing my head at all kinds of odd angles trying to read the words, my favorite part being "Show me a hero." It matches so well to the woman and her pose, in my opinion. Stunning, and very inspiring!

hmm..without seeing any work (yet--post and i'll comment if you want)
dont ever give up on a piece! i almost didnt do this one, because i hated it. but a stuck with it, and my vision of morphed into something way better than the original concept.
mistakes inspire, so approach anything you can, in a 'weird' way.

awesome thanks ^^
yeah i know, i haven't had a chance to scan my drawings. i dont have many that are deviant worthy, but im working on it.
another question if you don't mind. i love big canvas art. i'm just not sure what i should by, like tools, paints, ext... i usual just recycle everything but theirs only so much i can do with what i have and i used up most of it. i need to start collecting more things ^.^ i even ask my friends do go threw their things b4 they throw it out lol. used things inspire me to make new things ..^^..
