Well, I beg to differ. I think ~MoveOnDna beat me out on the enthusiasm there right underneath me.

I think selling your art can be painful for many artists, like selling one of their children. The very thought sickens them. But I think sometimes it's a necessary pain to endure, especially if you've got an expensive drug habit. (name prominent drug-addicted artists who sold-out and whored their work but are still considered tortured brilliant geniuses full of inspiring, brave work yet with shame-filled lives reflected on their artwork) Even Brando had to do movies he didn't like just for the money. Fucking Brando. Sad, but doesn't at all take away from my admiration for him.

And you don't have to wait until someday to thank people awkwardly. I think you've already accomplished that. (HAHA LOL, JUST KIDDING KIND OF.) I wish for you the best of luck, and don't you dare put your dreams on the back burner. In un-idealistic honesty, if I had any sort of talent, I'd keep my expectations at zero, and my dream conditions at just being able to do what I love to do without living on the streets. Good luck to you, and God bless.

thank you im glad it's inspired you, i'm always happy to hear things like that.

i used books actualy.. tore out pages and dyed them with coffee, lemons etc. i let some dry on the own,and other i blew dry against jeans to make them "crinkly".

MOD PODGE. is many artists holy savior of art materials, when it comes to collage... i used that to glue everything down. you can get it in matte which dries clear, or gloss, which gives it a little shine.. (i use matte mostly). you can buy it at any art store, depending on the size of the jar its usualy 5+. but you can get a 16oz jar for about 6-8$ usualy, it lasts forever! i've had the same jar for 2 years now :-p

It's been a part of my favorites for quite I while, I just never commented.
If you don't mind me asking, what medium did you use for the girl? I can't tell. It almost looks like oil?
