This is the last drawing in a series of people that I am paying homage to. Russell was a teacher of mine who put a human face to art, I great artist himself, thanks Russ!

... and this was ALL done with pencil? My goodness, how fantastic! The level and amount of detail is endless, I was almost sure this was a photo... I guess we really don't need photoshop to make the best pics...

there are people like me who draw beauty, but only because beauty is easy on charcoal and graphite, then there are people who draw art, and there is a big difference

I remember Mr. Thayer! I had him for art history II. You captured him perfectly - he was a great teacher. I haven't seen that man in 6-7 years and I thought I was looking at a photo of him. Great job on the photorealism.

You are absolutely great. Your drawings are so detailed.
It's amazing how you can create those perfect textures like skin and hair. The white hair on the black background is so detailed that only a little elf could be able to draw it.
