This is the last drawing in a series of people that I am paying homage to. Russell was a teacher of mine who put a human face to art, I great artist himself, thanks Russ!

damn, that's AMAZING. Puts my pencil work to shame... how do you keep the whites so well?? I can't seem to do hair because there are too many highlights and shadows ... but... wow wow WOW!!

3, 4 people together have concluded, along with the artist, that he used a camera to capture his pencil drawing, I'm assuming to make sure no smudging occurs that could happen if he placed it on a flatbed scanner. The camera details were not intentionally placed. It is standard in that camera he used that it automatically embeds such information into every file.

this is wonderful. Im studying art myself, and havent reached this level of detail... is it done from a photo reference, or live? and did you use colored paper, blah blah blah. im extremely impressed and inspired.

i can't find any trace of this piece to make me belive that it was drawn by hand. the description is the only thing ...
it must be the ultimate satisfaction for someone to almost dismiss your work as a photo and not a drawing... its usually the other way around w/photo manips... we feel like we can weed them out from the real ones.
