Description
The Edge of Forever: IX XIPencil and Colored Pencil on Oak Tag Board
This drawing is much more theoretical then most of my posts, but if you look closely it’s all composed of “real” objects, bones metal and so on.
I tried to keep the whole idea of 9/11, abstract, symbolic and personal without resorting to clichés, such as burning towers, American flags, airplanes, and other trite symbols that in my opinion where overdone. My objective was to show the confusion of that day, without a lot of finger pointing, but stressing the victimization and helplessness in an expressive composition.

A litttle bit of Francis Bacon meets Max Ernst. This is an amazing piece of art. You have a great handle in your craft.

My friend, I dont want to say to much. I will say, your mind is like the endless void, your medium -drawing- is like the crystal we can view your mind through....I say crystal because of the perfection of your medium, the clarity in your drawings are unmentionable...they are better than photos....well thought, and take plenty of time. I look up to you, someday I hope to reach eye level with you. Art is different foreveryone, im not saying one is better than the other......however the time we spend in our work, shows emencely......truly inspiring. We all have our opinions of sept 11....I think you've captured the truth behind it, without pointing fingers....we are all to blame for whats happing in this world. Thank you for being you.

Beautifully done and very unique. I am deeply entrance by the fact that you chose to take a differnt perspective on this subject. With all the news that surrounded the tragedy and the heinous fiasco that ensued wth the Iraq conflict, it's a welcome breath of air to see creations like yours. It was sickening to see the images of destruction flashed over and over again. I remember where I was that morning, what was going on, the lack of awareness that people had and the awe and shock they all were gripped by when I told them of it. I was in a high school art class, interestingly enough. There was an odd din of eerie silence about the entire school and things have just been different since then. Once again, magnifiscent work.

Thank you I appreciate your words very much; the U.S. had a chance to unite the world after 9-11 but “W” and his henchmen alienated it instead. Iraq is a red haring, a scapegoat to make us look like we where doing something. Its sad the so many young Americans have to die on top of 9-1, not to mention thousands of innocent Iraqi civilians.
But as art goes I showed my fillings in symbolism, I could not be more shocking and depressing then the real images that we all saw, so it came form the inside.

Again: Excellent!
Interesting to see something else than your portraits -which I've already told you what I think about
By some unknown reason I didn't read the title of this drawing at first, but my thoughts when I saw this the first time was hopelessness.
The bones, especially the "dino-bird", bring me the feeling of some anciant evil, death, pain. The mechanical objects makes the whole thing cold and unhuman. The combination of these object is rather creepy....You've made your point. Good job.

Some of the color in this looks as though it is seeping throughout the image, the effect is distorting and at certain angles can create an illusion of polarization, a fatal flaw when compoing on wood, your use of un parallel lines causes the polarization to be intercepted and crosshatched making the picture distracting in certain areas..I am not a master in art, let alone, good at it, but, the effort put into this pic could be much greater(although I probably put much less effort into my art than you and I have a tendancy to be tough on those who constantly get, "this is so good comments", it's time to meet your maker...HA! Plus some of the shading looks... apart, away from the wood and not part of the picture, the texture may be smooth, but a difference in shade should emphasize this, not hide it...ha!, either, you pressed really hard or this is FAKE! ..........ha, oh well, I know nothing...moo

Be very careful about critiquing for critiquing sake, you will come off just rattling empty words in an attempt to sound artistically knowledgeable. Although I read your comments with guarded interest and a few insights made some sense you where way off on the materials, intent and the presumption at the end leading to the final analyses of “FAKE”. Your attempt at going beyond “you rock dude” fell flat, and don’t waste my time with hack ersatz-art understanding.

Hah! yay, the actual intent of the comment was to get you to reply...because I seen that you barely ever REPLY on any of the other's comments...I think your art is great and, I am not calling it fake, consider your patience with those that critique tested and your art, admired...

What a beautiful Tribute Armin! So much went on that day...so much that is unspeakable and I believe your work envelops just that...the destruction...the overwhelming loss, the total wreckage of people's lives, a country's security and even the onsequences of that, the paranoia...You have brought all of these things together and if I'm not too far off, an element of Faith which sprung out of the tragedy. I am so impressed by your thought process and then to be able to convey that to canvas is again another triumph! Brava! my friend!
