It's always an eye opener to see your work with some sense of scale. You have honed your ability to focus and persist to a level inconceivable to most.

Wow, you are amazingly talented. Question: How are you able to keep up with your patience? With such a LARGE drawing, you sure have the time to draw that. Amazing.

I kind of psyche my self out, I draw a planned small area every day and pretend it’s a small drawing, at the end many hundreds of tiny drawing make a whole sounds silly but it work. otherwise I couldn’t do it

Is that a razor blade, or a pencil, bro?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

1nimra In reply to Artmarque [2010-04-04 14:58:08 +0000 UTC]

A razor blade to cut my wrist because of the monotony , lol
It’s a .5 mechanical pencil which I did the whole thing with

After seeing the original already, and loving it, I'm glad to see you at work on it. It really puts the size of the piece to scale. Awesome work!

1nimra In reply to kpoprules [2010-04-04 14:56:24 +0000 UTC]

At the point you see it, it’s got coat of fixative on it, usually its laying flatter and I have velum under my hand

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

kpoprules In reply to 1nimra [2010-04-04 15:48:44 +0000 UTC]

you can still draw on it after a coat of fixative??? o.o
whats velum? o.O

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

1nimra In reply to kpoprules [2010-04-04 17:00:16 +0000 UTC]

workable fixative yeah you can but not erase. Velum is translucent paper that's kind of thick

You know, I made a comment elsewhere to you about this and how I caught myself thinking you were insane, only to realize that I'm working on a piece that is the same size! But you know what? I'm going back to thinking "My gosh! He's insane!" because of all the branches. Yup, you're officially more insane than I! Doesn't that make you feel awesome?? Ahh, but your insanity pays off, my friend. This piece is amazing! Is it going anywhere, or do I have a chance of seeing it before it is shipped off somewhere?

No just to do some finishing details usually at an angle
