Description
Yip (which is a nickname that comes from his last name – I don’t know what it’ll actually be yet though) is the cat, Noble's the poodle. Yip is named for Yip Harburg, a Broadway lyricist, while Noble is named for jazz musician Noble Sissle.

The Roaring Twenties is just one of several historical eras that I like, and that includes movies like The Cotton Club and Miller’s Crossing. These guys are from an original idea I’m working on which is set back then. I’m not going to go into too much detail about it, but I will say that it's a reimagining of the fairy tale The Town Musicians of Bremen. I decided to try drawing these guys in order to help with developing their characters.

I’m not terribly sure about their coloration. Yip will probably be an orange tabby though – he comes from humble roots and he’s not a purebred cat, and I tend to associate tabby markings with “common” cats. I'll probably play around with Yip's look some more, but I like how Noble turned out.
