Had this hidden on my computer and decided to share it. I super imposed Lowell's canal map of mars on the actual map and deepened the red tones.Related content

I can't help but wonder what the ecology and functioning of such a world would be. A world like Earth but mostly desert, but with canals and lakes. I can't seem to conceptualize the water cycling. Where does it come from and where does it go. I know that evaporation would happen, obviously but... there's so much to consider.
It's a compelling image though, a desert world come alive through a system of canals. Even if it isn't what Mars is, it's an interesting idea.

Well the easiest part was using Hellas as the bulls eye.
The hard part was re-drawing all the lines from a subpar jpg I found a long time ago.
I'm surprised you found this image. I found your comics a long time ago when I followed a picture link of one of your space craft. Thx for the visit.
