I threw together a quick material for the armor in photoshop - right now I am looking through the very sparse screenshots to try and get an idea of the materials used on this beast in the show.I still have quite a bit of modeling work to do, but I felt like seeing what the armor would look like with a material on it before I step out to the store.

Very, very nice. Add some bump or displacement map to the hull. It looks a bit flat for me.
