Description
Yay! I finally got my old dusty 3ds max 6 to spit out these Archinteriors to a 3ds format so I can render them in VRay! Albeit though the files from Evermotion were constructed for Max 7 or above so the 3ds output was quite wacky and I had to do extensive repairs lol! *Darn termite damage*The foremost chair is a little overexposed (due to the brightness of the winter sun lol) but after a 30 hour render this is the way it is gonna be

Yeah lol, if I remember correctly this was while still using R10 or 10.5 I can't quite recall. Most of the time though was spent in calculating the displacement for the carpet Plus being fairly new to VRay at the time, I don't use it nowadays since the new AR3

Oh this is back from my early days and the actual scene is from Evermotion Architecture converted for Cinema 4D. I had it from when I used to use Max >.> Thing I have found for Architectural renders is LIGHTING - you gotta play around with your lighting for each scene and do a billion test renders to get it right lol, the biggest mistake I see all the time is rendering without shadow maps Shucks I wish I could do cars like you can. I have recently started modeling a 67 Mustang, but I am almost scared it might turn out looking like a Yugo
lol.

GI render? You can also throw a bit of AO in there too - not full but maybe put the max ray length to between 30-60 depending upon the scene.

I think it was around 400 for the upgrade - but then my VRay would not work until they upgrade that

Nicely done, and it sounds like you had a tough time with the file conversions (ugh, 3D stuff can be so tempermental lol) I was going to say the closest chair is a little too bright, but you explaine dthat, so that's fine. The texturing on everything looks great

Yeah - I think it might go better if I were to upgrade to a more modern version of Max - but since I don't really use it other than for this why bother lol Max 2006 was kinda temperamental anyway lol. Thanks Bro
