This 3D scene is rendered in Cinema 4D - Main overall scene is from Evermotion - I changed out the chairs because I liked these better
All materials are VRay materials made by me with the exception of the floor and the background. Rendered in VRay then run through Adobe Light Room 2 and Photoshop CS3 for color and saturation adjustment.

Oh wow, I almost missed this one, sorry for the delay! Thank you very much - yes C4D is an awesome program! This is from when I was first experimenting with lighting an architectural render - the scene is from Evermotion.net but the chairs I believe are a freebie from Evermotion. The materials here are a mix of my own and some from Evermotion. At one time I wanted to do nothing but architectural renders, but I have since learned that my first love is serious modeling

Thank you - yeah I did that on purpose with the settings in VRay to simulate looking from a darkened area into a brighter one

oh i see , anyway the image is great , good work on the materials and shadows looks pretty neat, it just felt weird the contrast in the background but if it was your intention then its perfect.

Jo, I know, it looks like a textured plane with specular. i would compose it in photoshop. A blue sky would and a green forest in the background would grade it up a lot. It's to bright I think. But Your furniture are first class!

It was done in photoshop and the sky is blue - but with the angle of the sun and to get the light effects where I wanted is why it is so bright - which was fully intentional - if you ever take a real life photograph from a darker area into the sunlight the sky will appear white and overly bright in contrast to the surroundings - this is what was intended
