I imagined Idr much smaller, because he was able to hide in the grass and the fern; and he didn't walked across fallen trees, he jumped ... That's why for me he is not higher than the knees

Well, the Idr from the first chapter was so small, that Geralt didn't had to jump on him to cut his back. And this "jr. Idr"'s pincers where probably longer and more like knives? This one you show has a little bit the look (and size) of a Koshchey... hmmmm, who knows, maybe Idr is really a variation of Koshchey?

The whole idea of Idrs pincirs were taken from a solifugae. This is just an attacking stance. If his Belly was touching the ground hed be much smaller. And having longer pincirs would make him a beetle not an arachnomorph
