Now with added time wasting ability:2D Forever
(Proper title, "Broken into 8-Bit(s)" )
The image came after seeing some great art in a book covering fan-art of the 8-bit era, aptly named "I am 8-bit" (see my site for links). This image started out fun, but certainly dragged on. I believe I've decided it's more fun drawing over colouring. More experimentation to come, but of course.

I loved that game... was it just every copy I ever had, or did every copy everyone had have that glitch in it that would make it not work sometimes? Especially at the beginning. Anyway, awesome fan art. Awesome to the max!

Ah yes... bubble bobble... so many hours of infuriating aggrevating fun, particularly with levels 67 WITH THE SUPER SOCKETS RAINING DEATH ON YOU and the MOTHERF***ING CRYSTAL BALL THING FROM LEVEL 99!!!!!!!!!!

The snapping neck was the idea, but I think I should of exaggerated it a bit more.
As for those later levels in Bubble Bobble... well, I've never been patient enough to get to them

Dear god that is so awesome. The expression on the blue dude is perfect. Plus the reflection of the 8-bit sprites in the bubble is a great touch. You're a great colorist too. +fav

Aiii.. this was (and still is, as we have a copy of it for the PS1 along with rainbow islands) such a great game. Gods, all the daft stuff my sister and I used to do with the game as we played it, like playing tag once all the monsters on a level were dead, or seeing who could be the first to fall continually, or finding the smallest space to zoom back and forth on like you were a monster, or seeing who could blow the most bubbles. And the red shoe that made you go faster, that was the ultimate prize as it meant you got to eat all the food. Man I miss the Atari we had, there were so many fantastic games.
Great artwork, I love all the extra texture details you've put in, their feet and hands crack me up!
