I’ve gone back to playing a lot of Super Smash Bros. at the moment, so that’s where this Captain Falcon picture came from. Yes, it’s everyone’s favourite, over-excited, bounty-hunting, F-Zero racer!I think he’s a great character – in that he’s exactly that, a character. I wanted to capture the ridiculous-ness here and to experiment with some vivid colours. I started this by sketching a few different poses to see what would work best and they all came out with really exaggerated muscles. It just felt right for the Cap’ain. Turns out, as I was drawing him, there’s a fine line between making him look like Magneto or Captain Falcon… be careful of how you draw his helmet!
Oh, and finally – before everyone else says it: Falcon Paunch! – Please, I don’t want to hear anymore!

Aw, fuck yeah. F-Zero was the second video game I ever played my entire life; of course we picked the good old captain pretty much all the damned time. This really brings me back: great comedic execution as always!

Heat wouldn't bother me much, coming from living in deserts and near oceans most my life. Bugs on the other hand, I hate. For being one of the first places I have been to outside my country it is very beautiful, but I'm afraid to tour on my own since I know none of the locale, so I have to wait for my brother before we go somewhere.
Half the places I can't even pronounce. I'm only here for 3 more days, I barely got to see much outside the base.

Yeah everything is fine. We actually got to tour around on my last day, got to see all the old buildings and the rebuilt castle. Kind of sad we blew the original one up.
Now to get used to being back home with the only things to see to fields of wheat and oil rigs...
