2D ForeverI was opting for a comic-strip-esq cover art. They're always so nicely done, then you get inside the comic and the rest is lame...
It's the detail that always attracts me to them, so I thought I'd have a go at some of the more grotesque looking covers you'd find.
This is, of course, Metal Gear's Snake. If you're keen, you'd notice it's based upon the MGS1 outfit. For 2 reasons, It's a cool outfit and best of all he had his Socom pistol in that game. It's such a cool gun!

Awesome composition. I think the laser dot's a bit much (looks a little like a drop of blood), but other than that, it's great. Very nice use of color. And Snake's expression is genius. Well done.

this is pretty cool dude! ok critique time. the lines are al fine, seeing as there is no anatomy in the pic i cant fault you on that! right colours. you need a slight highlight on some of the fabric that snake is holding. not a big one just a tiny little one, and make it less saturated than the other tones on the fabric. also the metal on snakes glove needs a light shine at the moment it looks a little to like plastic. unless of course its ment to be plastic, in that case goos job!Snakes teeth look very nice and the eyes are nice and the skin tones are super sweet! my final nitpick would be the highlight on the snakes lip. Nice piece dude!

Agree with you of course, most of its down to laziness. Such as the lip shine - but equally I like how it looks - its like simplistic brush strokes in a way.

I love the detial put into the tip of the barrel, and the laser, also the 5 o' clock shadow is well done. Twin snakes was probably my favorite MGS.

oh my god, this is by far the best Snake facial expression i've seen in a while. though you can't really see it while playing the game, i could already imagine it XD!!

Aah, it's the trusty colour I like to call 'Metal Gear Green' which gives it the nice colour. A cold tint to any colour, works great as a background and as an under-colour. Thanks for all the great comments
