2D ForeverI was opting for a comic-strip-esq cover art. They're always so nicely done, then you get inside the comic and the rest is lame...
It's the detail that always attracts me to them, so I thought I'd have a go at some of the more grotesque looking covers you'd find.
This is, of course, Metal Gear's Snake. If you're keen, you'd notice it's based upon the MGS1 outfit. For 2 reasons, It's a cool outfit and best of all he had his Socom pistol in that game. It's such a cool gun!

Oh, this is a fantastic moment. I love the first signs of terror in the badguy's eyes. Like the realization of his inevitable doom just came to him. Well done! Snake's expression is perfect. He's really got that 'i'd let you live if I were nicer' look on his face. That really cracked me up. Colors are gorgeous and the composition is very intense. Good stuff!
And I do wish I was good at the MGS games. The only shooter i'm decent at is Halo.

And yes, I DID think the sneaking suit from MGS was better than the LBV from MGS2. In fact, I did a little oekaki WAAAAAYYYYYYYYYY back when the KPLC board was up. [link] Thought you might get a laugh out of this.

Haha! Thats cool! Nice work on that, too. And his outfit looked better in the first because he had his cool shoulder pad-like thing, which wrapped around his neck. Definate plus!

Hooray for MGS fans! Thanks for the comment, and indeed the favourite! Felt like I had to comment though as you mentioned the 'swing' of it - Thats how I felt about it too, capturing the essence of the game in some ways.
Well, I say that because my usual tactic is to clear the room of enemies before moving on!

This is such a great piece! Beautifully drawn, and the colors (especially the tones in the skin) are very nice. Not to mention the detail-- ugh! I could stare at Snake's teeth and stubble for hours! Bootiful!

Awesome colour choices for the shading and stuff, and the way you pull it off is immaculate. The cropped "in your face" feel really adds to it too.
This is for sure a fav, not just because snake is awesome but the pic also
