Description
I have a friend who is very critical of the "art" component of my photography. His usual insult is that my work looks like a postcard. The other night, he had to admit that my work had improved. So he said, "Yeah, it's almost like a motivational poster now."To him, this piece: tenacity.
Taken at Milford Sound on the South Island of New Zealand.

Awesome Depth and clarity here. I love how the colors bring out the foreground and soften, not necessariy hide, the background.
Interesting where trees can grow isn't it? Looks like a little mini paradise.
And yes, this would make a good photo for a motivational picture. Nice title choice as well. Great work.
Think I'm gonna have to fav this one, and add you to my watch list

Yeah, well my photography's like a snapshot you find in a box in your basement years later and say, "What the heck was that?"
I simultaneously love and cringe before people like that, because they make me do better, but in the meantime.. But I'm very grateful for her advice!

Brilliant piccie mate, shame that the waves weren't stronger, would have given more power to the image.

Indeed
and yes, I have had the experience of drinking OP rum, and running out of mixer, and had to water it down with beer, and well, since I was intoxicated enough to enjoy it, the following morning, my head certainly had a bit of a shocker... not recommended at all....

Hi Andrew
It is always difficult photographing from a boat. You have a done a wonderful job here. 1/26th of a second is very slow for hand held and we can see that in the background. You have done a good job of panning as you took the shot to have such a sharp subject.
The mist give the depth.
I like it too - well captured
Dave
