Amputees can most definitely be happy.
I think the main depressions from amputation are from the handicap that comes with it, the way it alters your appearance, and of course, the feedback from other people.
Children born missing limbs are completely daffy unless they're subjected to bullying.
People that are amputated will probably get along fine with a supporting environment,
and supporting people.

i think some amputees wouldnt really care about it if they were born like that...at least thats from what i know. but she looks to me like she was born without arms which could be a good reason for the smile.

Hmm, I can't tell cos I haven't been in such situation, but wouldn't most people who are born like that or get in an accident eventually get used to it eventually? I kinda doubt they'd get emo over it FOREVER.

The loss of limbs is regretful, but the bust is ample enough to compensate. (Besides. Tha 'Biscuit is and always shall be a leg man.) So, in short, Yes, I'd do 'er.

That's pretty cool they can be cheery with the absence of a limb. I've never met an amputee, so I guessed they'd be irked about the inconvenience.
