Description

Ever get a pesky clothing prop which won't smooth or collide properly with your figure, only to find out during a render that polygons are poking through?  Ugh!  No matter how much you adjust the smoothing parameters, it never cooperates.  I find this happens most often with stockings, panties and tight-fitting tops.

There might be a solution:  Try using a Geoshell!

I used to use Poser but DAZ has become a much better platform IMHO. The good news is that it’s free to switch!

SickleYield makes some great clip-fixing products too.

Simple yet effective method with some limitations as mentioned by others. Glad someone bothered to share it.

Ah! I've done something similar with a full bodysuit, but this is probably easier... and, I suspect, less resource-intensive?

If by resource intensive you meant CPU-wise, it's about the same unless adding a geoshell slows the system down normally.  Compared to editing the cloth with d-formers or hand-crafted morphs, then yes, very much less resource intensive.  It doesn't work it all situations, but it often works when modifying the smoothing and collision parameters doesn't.

Thanks for letting me know that! I find it's handy with a few clothing props that don't come with morphs but need to be expanded somewhere to fit properly. The nice thing about the bodysuit (I use the Ultra Bodysuit for G2F mostly) is that it has a number of selective "expansion" morphs. I can just expand the shins, for example, without expanding the rest of the outfit.

This is an idea I've wondered about but never tried, nice to know that it at least sometimes works.

Quand je pense que je corrige ça avec Photoshop depuis 3 ans... C'est Aiko qui vas être contente maintenant.

I often use a GeoShell for pantyhose, and smooth skirts, shoes, etc to the shell.  Yours is a more general tip and worth using in lots of situations.  Thanks for sharing!

Great tip. I've been doing this with a bodysuit, but a geoshell should be much easier.
