because we're comic relief? ouotbh that'd be an interesting concept
Clemont being a TR Scientist o_O
I mean if he was a permanent one Ash and Co wouldn't stand a chance
with Giovanni's experience and resources the afrodes would be a thing of the past!
but it does make a good episode, like the Spongebob episode when Plankton and Krabs switched places
think about it;
Ash gets cocky, like he does, over Clemont (probably after he's won the bolt badge) and goes a little overboard with the insults, Clemont gets angry and splits from the group. TR approach him and Giovanni offers him a place in TR, which Clemont accepts!!!
Ash and co find out later on, as Ash and co try to talk some sense into him, Clemont's Mechas and PokΓ©mon overwhelm the group, and Ash concedes defeat. Certain that Ash understands his mistake, Clemont reveals that it was all a ruse, and turns on TR, reclaiming Pikachu and detonating his Mechas, sending TR blasting off. The group reconcile and the group apologise for taking him for granted, leading them to set off into the future as Clemont plans his next invention!
what do you guys think? Would you watch that or not?

Well Giovanni, Ash doesn't like bad guys, so he wouldn't come into the Team Rocket.

So not only does it take the main premise from "Spy Buddies" (the SpongeBob episode that you mentioned), its ending is kind of like "Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy V" (when BB goes to the dark side).

kinda, but not with as much of an anticlimatic ending as the latter when even though he campaigned to have an adult patty still couldn't finish one
