Delia has been probably one of the most loose yet still adamantly caring mother in the whole of anime
She should be given more credit

I have a SS idea, where she uses Ash's Bulbasaur, Gary's Electrivire, Misty's newly revealed Milotic, Tracey's Scyther and Mimey to beat Trip after he berates Oak, her, Tracey and Misty for their Kanto roots; the battle being if Trip loses, he gets no starter, if he wins, he gets all of the starters
And Delia roasts him!
But after learning his lesson Oak gives him a chance to pick one again, and he chooses Bulbasaur because of how impressive Ash's was :3
Oh and Misty was there because she wanted to see all of Ash's new Pokémon ¬u¬
