omg I just got like 100 ideas. Lol. this is awesome, love the way you did the colors. what kind of lighting were you working with?

I was just using a small desk lamp and natural light from a window to fill in the blanks (thats where the blue in left half came from.)
Its not an ideal setup as you cant have the aperture small enough for a sharp shot whalst keeping the shutter high but you can get some nice effects if you push the lamp in close enough.

I like that touch of blue on the trailing whisp too,its where natural light was stronger than the artificial and I gave it a little tweak in photoshop to bring it out more.
