Description
The Brittish government is planning to prevent the sale of conventional bulbs by 2011 to cut carbon dioxide emissions so it seems these little fellah's will soon be a thing of the past.Personally I say pull your keys out of the ignition and try walking for a change.Anyway,just wanted to throw my two pence in, or tuppence as my mum used to call it.......bless her.

Its so, I dunno. The all white background definately helps. I think it if were black the bulbs wouldn't pop quite so much.

No not at all,it's a compliment.I think I had this available as a print at one point but I've been working on a slight update that gives it a bit more life....well as much life as broken bulb's can have anyway

This is my favorite photo from your gallery so far. I really like the contrast between the lighter bulb on the left and the one on the right.
A little more emphasis on the smoke above the bulbs might be good though, as it is it blends into the white background a bit much for me.

Ah yes I wondered about emphasizing the smoke more,I decided against it in the end purely because I have so many smoke shots in my gallery that I didnt want this to be just another smoke shot.Maybe Ill tweak it a tad at some point.

Its probably a lot simpler than it looks,the inversed effect I added in photoshop (Im never too sure if that makes this a manipulation or not) I think makes it look like more has gone into this than actually has.

We were forced to do a similar project for my art class. Yours came out much better then mine did. I love it! It's simple and yet conveys your message perfectly.

Heheh 'forced'.I used to hate being told what theme or genre to work in in art classes etc.The best thing about being amatuer for me at the moment is that I can shoot whatever I please.
