Self-medicating with art is helpful.
Always wanted to draw Furrball with a Charlie Brown Xmas tree.
Was debating on when exactly to post this, but after thinking about it... it's really okay to be down during the holidays, and being sad then doesn't make one odd nor does it make it the end of the world. So, gotta represent for the blues.
Odd, i don't feel as sad now that i'm done drawing this. Oh well.
2012 is gonna be a rockin' year. and so, hang in there!

Actually, maybe Charlie's life would have been slightly less messed up with Furrball for a pet. Furrball would understand his depression...and Snoopy never will

i dunno, i guess i just thought it important to depict him as he typically would be... it just doesn't seem fair that they generally show him as the 'happy tramp' whose only job is to be cute all the time and get into trouble.
of course, if he were always happy and had the perfect life, i probably wouldn't care at all about him

I take it a family member in the military being away for the holiday is the reason for you being down now? I'm sorry to hear that, it's always depressing whenever loved ones are away, especially this time of year, and this pic makes a lot more sense in that context.

she's all excited that she's going to Antarctica in January, but i'm scared to death. she shouldn't be in cold conditions, but she knows what she's doing, i guess. the worst part is, we had to deal with this growing up when dad would be deployed for 6 months-1 year at a time, so it's kinda like, 'c'mon, why're you doin' it, too?' but it's life, i know. gotta adapt and stuff, but even so...
