Even if subconsciously following it is the only thing that keeps you moving, and even if the clouds block out the shine, it's still there and you know it... or rather you feel it, and sometimes you feel that small little warmth that quietly whispers that you're going in the right direction, even if it's whispering it in a language you don't even understand, you still appreciate the sentiment.

One day when he wasn't looking, Chafe found that the glimmer had been coming from Sadie. And though that inherent sadness never left the core of his being, Sadie gave him the one thing he needed. And he hoped he gave that same thing to her.
