Chun-Li had trouble focusing. Considering her sudden predicament, she would have calmed herself like her training taught her but the pink mist had put a stop to that unbeknownst to her. So despite the obvious "sinking" problem, Chun-Li had tried to force her way forward but only continued her downward decent. She then tried pulling on her thigh to help raise one of her legs out of the "beach colored" mud. Obviously having very strong legs, she was able to do so but only drove her other leg in. Not to mention that she felt pain on the thigh of the leg she had just pulled. It was that pain though that Chun-Li finally stopped her struggling and realized that it wasn't mud she was stuck in as the pink mist started to clear up.
