Good news everyone! (yes, that is a Futurama reference. Wooo)It's Sunday!
As with a lot of this stuff I'm uploading every week, I'll eventually be moving these practice pieces to scraps. But for now I really need your feedback, my lovely deviantart friends. God. I just love you guys. -hugs-
This was a quick practice coloring thing. I really admire people who can digitally color realistically (my first deviantart idol, `Dianae , I am jealouz). I'm dissapointed with the outcome, but then again I was practicing speed so I also only gave myself 2 hours for this. Her skin looks like plastic. Bah...

I know I've posted on this before but looking through your page again I just have to comment again. I absolutely love this picture. Obviously with the illuminated butterfly this is more of a fantasy like drawing; I love the color of the hair, the dark really makes the lightness of her skin really pop out, and the purple highlights make it extra beautiful. The eye color is beautiful and the eyes themselves are beautiful too. I would love to see a more extreme take of lighting on this, perhaps the butterfly giving off the light so the side of her face/the left side of her body is relatively dark? Might create a spooky look! OoOoOoOo. I love you <3

It feels really weird looking at art that's like a year old.. haha. There are obviously a lot of things that I don't like about it now, but I was quite proud of her hair. 
I'm glad you still like it, it makes me feel a little better about my older stuff... Maybe I'll redo this in the future with your suggestions? Probably less gothy though, I don't know why this is so DARK VICTORIAN ISH.

This drawing came out really beautiful! I love how you did her black hair flowing down her shoulders and the outfit that she's wearing. The shoulder part of her anatomy came out really good as well!

This image caught my attention even in my watched thumbnails and I'm pleased to say that it retains its striking qualities when viewed full size (wishing it was even bigger, in fact). I'd say you've done an excellent job, particularly under the time constraints.
She's got an intriguing expression on and it really feels like she's looking at you and she's a very pretty girl 
I love the various highlights in her hair, adds to her mysterious allure and the hair has a good, bushy, slightly wild quality to it. The sparkles are very effective, with the butterfly looking particularly glow-y (rather than just white).
Her dress looks very nice, though not as accomplished as her hair for example. There is a good interplay of colours (quite challenging for a black dress) and I like the beginnings of some netting on her sleeves, but generally I don't feel it conveys texture as well as it could. Except for this little strand on her right breast that looks all lacy and transparent, which is a great detail.
Her skin does look a bit shiny, but there's nothing wrong with that as a stylistic choice. From a naturalistic point of view, perhaps it's a bit ashen to be skin colour and the shiny nature of the highlights is probably what makes you say it looks plastic. Still, good use of colours and shading on her body to convey curves etc., although on her left arm the shadow seems strangely geometrical instead of curved and I'm not sure why that should be.

I like her. The skin isn't too bad. Especially when you consider that she's an anime girl. Things are always a little different for them. I love her eyes. And the butterfly. lol

You are right, her skin looks very polished, but the painted lighting effect you have for the butterfly/moth thing and the glowing dots are just awesome. I like them anyway. I also like the fade to more purple highlights towards the end of her hair and in near the neck.
