I'm impressed, then. NO WAY could I draw anything with the tools you've got!
This is MY attempt at MS Paint mouse drawing.
As you can see, it really couldn't suck any worse.

Someday you'll have the money for a drawing tablet and Photoshop, and it will be much easier.

Hi great tutorial, I'm having some trouble though. My pen tool it's all rounded at the ends, it doesn't go from smaller to larger, I'm not sure if it's my tablet or the pen tool, but I'm having trouble with fixing that. Help? I have a Bamboo Wacom Tablet~

Lovely lineart! Your art style is gorgeous!
Do you mind me asking what brush size you used to line it?

You should try to ween yourself off of undo a little bit. Nothing builds confidence in your lines as much as not trying to make it perfect.
Another good trick for smoother lines is to work at 1.5 or 2 times the size of the final picture and then scale it down afterwards. The scaling is a lot cleaner with vector lines, so you may want to consider converting your lines to vector in Inkscape. You also have to keep in mind that you'll lose some extremely small detail, but if you're working above 300dpi, that small of detail wouldn't matter anyhow.
If you're having trouble with lineart at high resolutions, try changing the image's colour mode to binary (2-colour black and white) You can scale it down later and increase the colours when you want to to colour it.
Good tutorial though!

Thanks for the advice! I do work very large, in this tutorial I reccomended starting off very large so the lines look smoother at the scaled size.
Thanks again pal. <3

I kind of end up fudging my lines, but I wanted to show that you can still end up with a clean look even if at 100% your lines aren't perfect. That said, for you, DON'T EVER FALL TO LAZINESS LIKE ME. Your lines are beautiful and a defining part of your wonderful style which we all admire. <3 I shudder to think if you were as lazy as I was... haha XD

But I waste a lot of time cleaning things up sometimes, so maybe I should just roll with the sketchy parts... I did in my last pic and it turned out ok, so I'll just do whatever feels right
