Since I haven't put up artwork in a while I thought I'd throw this up.It was for a collab on the sonic stadium which was meant to be completed by SOS but uhh that went bust because everyone disappeared and lost the spirit, since it's been a few months since then and the project is dead as a dodo I thought it'd be okay to finally post this up.
When I did this I hadn't drawn anything in the Riders style since this pic so I was SO RUSTY it hurt, but hey I think it turned out alright despite that right? haha

Boards are still an elusive beast for me to draw, I'll get better though, might do a series of rider like pics because I do love the style.

I know there's supposed to be a distance thing going on, but the feet and board still seem too small.. either that or his legs seem longer that way.
Still, my initial thought was "THAT'S what I like to see! A Sonic fan drawing something not too classy and not too old from the series!"
The spines have a pretty heavy size contrast, though :\

Hmmmm I see where you're coming from, even to this day perspective still boggles my mind, I think I could have improved on it by hiding more of Sonic's body and making his feet larger, what do you think? Btw not too sure what you meant by the spines having a pretty heavy size contrast?

Size and contrast. There's a big difference in the size of his spines. Look at the top center one and compare it to the twigs on each side
I have no idea how to fix the distance thing, though. I'm not skilled at drawing. I may seem to be, but I'm pretty horrible ||D

Lol. Humor aside, this is pretty awesome. I can literally hear the theme song of the first game playing as I look at it D :

No one ever crits my stuff haha I literally ask for it on EVERYTHING but rarely do I get anything, well at least in the actual crit box, I do get some good comments from time to time.Β
