oh my god, she is lovely<3 you can just tell there's something very intruiging going on in that pretty head of her. And that slight hint of sliver light... *shivers*

Thanks I know, that in all Liveship Traders series there wasn't any scene where she was without her gloves, so that her Skilled fingers would be seen by others*, but I decided to draw them anyway, just to show a little hint of her true identity

And thank you for faving this one ^^

* Yep, she was working with Paragon without gloves, but he was blind anyway

Maybe quite pervy but still sweet I really like Amber and Paragon relationship^^
And Fitz is simple a fool because he preferred Molly *sighs*

Alloysius In reply to A6A7 [2010-02-03 11:22:33 +0000 UTC]

hehe, I like Molly, but I'm sort of sad that she became a housewife and a mother of what 7 kids? she was so cool in the Farseer trilogy, I was sort of expecting more from her. But I guess it was the realistic future for her anyway. I just think that despite what Fitz claimed, he wasn't in fact, "content" but sort of still kept what-iffing over Nighteyes and Amber for the rest of his life and that, I think, was sort of cheating on poor Molly. But then again, Fitz never was the brightest crayon in the box, was he?

A6A7 In reply to Alloysius [2010-02-04 11:05:50 +0000 UTC]

Definately.
And about Molly - yeah, she had some potential. Yet her life with Burrich was happy so... Let her be the housewife. I just don't understand Fitz and his 'oh, what a great affection' to woman that wasn't very much like his first-and-only-love. And about their life together, I doubt if it was such peaceful and conflictless - for me Fitz had this 'hero syndrom', that makes him unable to live normal life. Notice, that after some years spent as 'hermit', only with Nighteyes and Mishap, he was pretty eager to do anything, even if he tried to lie to himself about it

Alloysius In reply to A6A7 [2010-02-04 12:51:09 +0000 UTC]

that is so true. Actually, I don't really know what Fitz should've done, somehow I don't think Amber wanted him to come with her and Prilkopp. Like, not just for him and Molly but for herself, too. She was like finally free of her duties as a prophet and could finally just live in peace and Fitz coming along would've just meant more headaches for her.
He won't be able to settle down, cause he'll have the duties of a Skillmaster and everything anyway, so he'll just be running around being a drama queen as always and Molly will be facepalming at home and Nettle facepalming at Buckkeep.

Hehe, I so love Nettle. I'd love to read more about her and Tintaglia, too<3

A6A7 In reply to Alloysius [2010-02-04 17:05:20 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, Nettle sure got the temper

And yes - Amber/Fool needs some time only for himself. But I think that it's not the last time we read of him. At least I hope... It's way too great character to be just cast aside.

I've only heard about them from my friend. They still haven't been released in Poland, so now I'm trying to find it somewhere and read the original version

Heh, I live in Finland and they haven't even translated the Liveship books into Finnish yet. I read everything in English, but I'm having a hard time converting my friends into RH fans when there's nothing for them to read. haha, I'm so selfish, I just want someone to listen to my sqeeling and theorizing IRL, tooXD

A6A7 In reply to Alloysius [2010-02-11 09:32:25 +0000 UTC]

I can listen... erm... read your theories - and add my own, too

Yeah, in Poland Hobb also wasn't very popular untill about, dunno... 4, maybe 5 years ago? Assassin's trilogy was first translated in 1997, but the release was pretty small (plus, fantasy literature wasn't very popular then in my country). I wasn't able to have it then, so my first contact with Hobb books was about two years later, when I read Liveship Traders series Unfortunately they released only two parts, without Ship of Destiny and it was very traumatising, when I wasn't able to know the end of this story (so I started to learn english much harder )

As for Tawny Man, it was released only recently (yet released, so I think I can consider myself lucky) - and whole series looks really good on the bookshelf

Oh... My goodness. This is amazing! I could never find any rendition of the Fool that suits my image of him (nor can I ever draw how I imagine him to be), but this is it.

Seriously. I love the planes of the face, the enigmatic expression, the ambiance of the whole piece! You captured the Fool's gracefulness and elegance in this piece so beautifully. I especially love how his face is so ambiguous in the sense that he looks as much like a woman as he does as a man, even though the masculinity in his face is slightly more pronounced (but hey, Amber was never a beautiful woman anyway XD).

What's best about this piece is that even though I think of him as the Fool, this piece is wholly Amber, in that you captured her personality in that cool gaze. I cannot find a single shred of the Fool's sharp and witty persona nor the flamboyant Lord Golden in this piece. Truly astounding, you've achieved what so many or most of us cannot.

Whoa... Thank you soo much for this kind comment, I really don't know what to say... In such moments I really regret that my english isn't good enough to find a proper words to thank :]

*laughs* And yes, Amber never war described as beautiful. Mysterious - yes, but not a perfectly pretty woman Maybe that's why I always liked her long before I realised that she is, in fact, Fool :>

decembertiggerX In reply to A6A7 [2010-01-15 06:20:40 +0000 UTC]

Aww, you're welcome! And your English seems fine anyway, and thanks is good enough a word, no worries! XD

Haha, the mystery was spoiled for me because I read the Tawny Man trilogy before I got the Liveship trilogy, so I knew Amber was the Fool. It was so satisfactory to piece together the different facets of the Fool after I finished all 3 trilogies.

Hah. For me the first contact with Hobb books was the Liveship Traders trilogy, when I had no idea about Fitz, Fool and rest of Six Duches people Yet even then my favourite characters were Amber and Paragon. So when I started to read the Assassin's trilogy, and when Fool became more tawny and golden, i had this 'AHA, I think I know' effect, when I started solving this puzzle

My, my... It's good to hear/read this from you, especially that I always liked your drawings (what a great Hobb ilustrations!)

Heheh... Actually whole this picture was made just to show those skilled fingers (thanks to what you know who Amber actually is) - i usually don't make any fanarts. But this one just came to my head after Liveship Traders and forced me to draw And I'm glad that I was able to catch Amber's image like I am imagining myself - and, as it showed up - many people did.

Oh - and thanks for faving this one *hugs*

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

A6A7 In reply to angyem [2009-12-24 08:21:29 +0000 UTC]

I Amber, rzecz jasna ^^

angyem In reply to A6A7 [2009-12-24 10:27:50 +0000 UTC]

No.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

angyem In reply to A6A7 [2009-12-24 17:39:40 +0000 UTC]

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

A6A7 In reply to angyem [2009-12-26 09:23:24 +0000 UTC]
