Description
More time at friends place + More gazing at the mirror + more random poses and crap = THISPhotoshop cs6 for a whole day drawn in 90 frames.
Hope you await the final as much as i do... will be atleast a week before i get my hands on the tablet again! Dx

This is beautiful! I love your flowing movements and the timing too, the way he moves and stretches, reminds me of Ryan Woodward's work (who is just about one of my favourite animators ever).

thanks a lot! ryan inspired me to look beyond whats possible and go for the extreme, as far as animation is concerned. i stil need to work a million years to reach his level tho, but i try!

And again, the flow is superb! Really, such smooth animations on a sketch base are not often seen. Reminds me of the Katas in Karate, wonder which martial art this is. ^-^

thanks! as i told another one who commented, not everyone appreciates an animation that defies physics, is exceedingly fast and is somewhat random. but i m glad so many of you took notice; that itself is a win for me. ^w^
as far as the martial art is concerned.... LOL i have no clue what i am animating there... i just formed random poses in front of the mirror and sketched them out, added frames in between them and made a no-planning random animation xDDDD

Ah, well, the moves is not something to worry about, I say. If you know Final Fantasy Advent children, there the characters also fly through the air like they had the weight of feathers, but it looks more interesting and allows you more freedom of creativity (and also makes clear to the viewer that it's fictitious/unrealistic). It's also good to improvise something you come up with spontaneously and draw that, so new ideas can come up. And fantasy to my mind is about an imagined world, which covers our desire to detach ourselves from reality for a short term. About the martial arts: Around them there are also many myths to find, I mean, if I'm not mistaken, one can look about the depiction of ninja and their techniques in popular culture. And also the swordmasters of the likes of Miyamoto Musashi are surrounded by legends.

Agreed. FF 7 AC was one of those films which left me speechless as far as 3d animation is concerned. i wish to do such animaitons with this little guy you see in this animation... But i jst cant seem to form the required pose... As another deviant also rightly suggested, i will try to look at martial art videos for inspiration, so i can better my chances at making a fantasy + somewhat believable animation next time.
