Description
Had to illustrate a narrative scene from something that was already published. I did a scene from Godzilla vs. Megalon.I'm did a pretty serious inking job of this piece for my final assignment in Comic Book Inking with Mick Gray!

I still remember when Godzilla slid on his tail to kick Megalon.
Godzilla doesn't need gravity! x3

For the poor use of stock footage, the original additions of Jet Jaguar and Megalon are priceless, and the three protagonists are a very strange trio. It's actually one of my favorites, mostly because I watched it so much as a kid though.

I love the muted colors and I think showing this version of the big G is probably the best way you can depict him! (really not a big fan of the puppy-dog face he had in the 1970s).

Yeah, the muppet phase is really nostalgic to me for sure, since I grew up watching the 60s/70s movies, but when I saw 1985 in the theater, my mind was blown. That's my favorite suit for sure. Glad you dig the piece!

To me, the Heisei G is the quintessential Godzilla. But the 70s movies are so fun. How can you not like a movie that ends with the Jet Jaguar theme .. and the most awkward jump cut ever!
I still can't believe I never saw this in theaters! In fact, I've only seen the Japanese version and watched it for the first time four or five years ago.
