Description
This was done as an exercise in atmospheric perspective for my perspective class at AAU. Quick, cartoony, but a lot of fun to do. It was penciled, inked, then scanned, printed on to bristol, shaded with graphite pencils, the re-scanned, and tweaked a bit in photoshop.Related content

I love the compositional elements you have used for this. Some of what I can see include: The positive and negative use of space with the silhouette, the rule of 2/3rds, and direct and implied directional line. I have been doing long compositions lately as well and I find that I quite enjoy them because I think it makes me feel like I have more room to fill things in or perhaps if feels better because it is more like our natural field of vision. As for the atmospheric perspective I think that the mountain could have been pushed back more in relation to the city.

Awesome! this piece is very very cool. its interesting how you used the silhouette of Ghidorah instead, but as always you made Godzilla look really awesome and he he is being unstoppable and powerful like he always is. really awesome job dude. this is a very dynamic piece

No problem dude. i'm glad you appreciate my comments so much lol. this was a very awesome piece and it came out really really great. it has that old/classic feeling of giant monsters duking it out in Japan. really awesome job. i cant wait to see more. this was certainly a great vacation away from those anatomy pieces you were doing
