Yay, more MGS art!Meryl and Snake circa MGS4.
I recently stumbled across the pencils from over a year ago, [link] , and decided it needed ink.
This one I didn't give a crap about when inking. I seriously inked this sucker in about 15 minutes. But I LOVE how it turned out!

"The reality doesn't live up to the legend"; Solid Snake.
The meaning of this words becomes more important as the saga advances. It shows how both Hideo Kojima and Solid Snake are alike. They never wanted to go back to the same places or being idolized, yet it happened. They tried to steer away and live, yet they couldn't, because no one was willing to accept or understand the truth laid before them (MGS2).
By now, everyone should be aware that Kojima was already trying to leave MGS to someone capable, rather than keep on making it. I mean, what kind of game do you make when you're facing death threats from angry fans? (MGS4)

I think johnny was a character the story needed though, or the Meryl thread would have been left up in the air. I could write a thesis on the characters in that game so don't get me started! Personal opinion though, great game either way.

i was also a little upset about that lol. id rather snake not get old and get meryl. but if anyone else gets her i guess johnny makes sense. only cause he went through the natural process of becoming a soldier. not just nanomachines. so in a sense he can probably end up becoming more badass then any of the other rat patrol members. i still think snake shouldent be old though. sorry about the long ass comment. i just love mgs.
